Of course the great irony here is that that the game we now know as "Monopoly" originally started out as "The Landlord's Game," invented by Georgist feminist comedian Lizzie Magie to satirize capitalist rent-seeking... 17/
Huh. I thought I was joking but I turned out not to be joking.
The inspiration for the board game Monopoly was “The Landlord’s Game” — which was intended to teach people about Georgism!
Fun board game fact (that you probably already know): it wasn’t meant to be a fun board game. So maybe it is a good game in the sense that it creates the feelings toward landlords that the creator intended?
I'm not sure what to do with this in light of the fact that the were expanding a descendant of a game (approximately) designed to educate players about how capitalism doesn't work
