Back in 2012, inspired by and , I wrote a blog post envisioning a future wherein scientists got "personalized" recommendations for papers to read.
Reflecting on my thoughts from 7 years ago, however, the ethical and legal challenges of recommendations based on "agency" are much harder than I thought.
