In case you're dithering.... 1 in 4 cases of measles result in hospitalisation 1 out of every 20 children with measles gets pneumonia For every 1,000 children who get measles, one or two will die from it. ☠️ #vaccinate!
Why doctors didn’t want us to get to 1,000 measles cases: Because an average of 1-3 out of every 1,000 patients dies. Totally unnecessary suffering.
Dr. Stephen M. Hahn
Measles has the potential to be life-threatening. According to #CDC, as many as 1 out of every 20 children with measles gets pneumonia, & for every 1,000 children who get measles, 1 or 2 will die from it.
Why is it a big deal that we’ve surpassed 1000 measles cases? Because 1 in 1,000 patients gets encephalitis, which can cause convulsions, permanent disability, or death.
Prof Peter Hotez MD PhD
