Jameela Jamil: 'Airbrushing should be illegal'
The actress Jameela Jamil, best known for her role in TV series The Good Place, says airbrushing is a crime against women.
Airbrushing of people in magazines and especially in advertisements shouldn’t be legal. Here I make my case for why I feel so strongly about this. Thanks for the space
The claim that publication of someone's airbrushed image ought to be unlawful even if they're fine with the idea is a trifecta of coercion, stomping on personal autonomy ("my body = my choice"), freedom to contract with others, and freedom of the press.
Say no to airbrushing. It’s weird to never see spots and lines and pores. I want to look like a person, not an emoji.
To all in the photography business, remember. Photoshop is a crime against all women. You misogynistic bastards.
