Philly man who spent 28 years on death row in isolation had 2 separate murder convictions overturned. Now he must either be retried or set free. It's the latest in a string of reversals affecting men locked up by the same aggressive prosecutor.
Roger King, a former Philly assist. DA, appears to be responsible for five wrongful convictions. King operated under the old, discredited regime of former head DA Lynne “Queen of Death” Abraham. Her nickname is for the #s of ppl she sent to death row.
Orlando Maisonet, convicted of two Philly murders, has been on death row for 28 years. Both his convictions, obtained by prosecutor Roger King, have now been tossed. And King, who died in 2016, has racked up a few of these now. (via )
