My incredible wife has penned the cover story of TheEconomist this week in a special report. While says that California and Texas have differing visions for America’s future, her conclusion chooses the rightfulwinner. Don’t Mess With Texas!
“The fact that America can contain two such assertive, contrary forces as Texas and California is a testament to our political dynamism, but more and more I feel that America is being compelled to make a choice between the models these states embody,”
Political theatrics notwithstanding, Alberta and Quebec exist just fine within a more decentralized Canadian federation of provinces that run the political spectrum. We wouldn’t all become TX or CA if US became more decentralized.
