This is insane... we broke the record high for the day at Virginia Key at ***8:30AM***! The previous record was 88.2°F, set in 2018, and so far the high today is 88.3°F (lots of time left).

#Dorian didn't have a notable wind impact in the #Miami area, but it did make its mark on the tides! In combination with a new moon, we got seven consecutive days of record high tides, with a peak storm tide on September 3rd.
Virginia Key (
campus) set new daily record highs on 9 of the past 15 days. Also, this will easily be its hottest October on record... joining February and August with setting new monthly record highs in 2019.
