Ties between the Trump administration and for-profit detention centers run deep.
“ICE is saying they want to get to 15,000 by the end of the summer in Louisiana. There’s an intentional approach of putting people where they can’t access counsel.” This administration is detaining migrants indefinitely. These are concentration camps.

We’re just now seeing exactly how bad of a deal Democrats struck when they ended the government shutdown. Trump got some money for bollard fencing, and they agreed to an average of 40,520 detention beds. Except ICE is ignoring that and has 54,000 beds.
The Democrats approving billions in funding for these lawless monsters to do whatever they want is the thing I’m most angry about. It’s more than irresponsible. It’s actually crazy.

"it’s unclear where ICE is getting the money for the expansion, given that Congress just made a point of not giving it additional detention money"
