The Apollo program was designed by men, for men. If we do not acknowledge the gender bias of the early space program, it becomes difficult to move past it.

NASA was built by men, for men. Ladder rungs, pistol gripped tools, seat distance to control pad are sized for men. Women astronauts have compensated, (ie. wearing padding in ill-fitting spacesuits). For future missions, NASA must design tools to fit women.
