Something that has interested me in recent months: Trump's approval rating has increased a bit in live interview polls, both surpassing the online polls (for the first time) and reaching the highest levels of term
Millions of Americans who did not like the president in 2016 now say they do

I think Trump remains vulnerable, but... “Millions of Americans who did not like the president in 2016 now say they do. Over all, his personal favorability rating has increased by about 10 percentage points among registered voters since Election Day 2016”
Don’t Assume Trump’s Approval Rating Can’t Climb Higher. It Already Has.

"Millions of Americans who did not like the president in 2016 now say they do." This is the fucking Twilight Zone. We *need* to understand the why behind this (if true) no matter how depressing the answer is.

One shouldn't be overconfident about defeating Trump. But I think this will end up being true: "His support seems to have fallen a bit...[It] could fall further with worsening economic news and in the aftermath of the mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton."
Trump’s favorability remains higher than it was during the 2016 campaign because Republican-leaning voters who didn’t like him then now like him

"it is not 2016 anymore. Millions of Americans who did not like the president in 2016 now say they do. Over all, his personal favorability rating has increased by about 10 percentage points among registered voters since Election Day 2016"
Not thrilled about it, but wouldn’t be surprised if Trump wallops any of these Dem candidates by double digits. And greater fear today of online surveillance may drive the polling change mentioned. Voice is now safer seeming.
Trying too hard to milk weak data for a meaningful trend. via
Playing solely to white American voters appears to be working - and appears to be a viable path to re-election. At least for the 2020 election cycle, which is all Mr. Trump cares about.
