I could deal with those who defend Obama's choices if they were simply honest that the policy outcomes were harmful. "We tried, the Senate blocked us, alas" is one thing. "We tried, the Senate blocked us, everything went awesome anyway" is another.

In its first 2 years, Obama administration moved policy as far leftward as politically feasible in Congress & then faced a backlash; Congress, not Obama’s ideological ideal point, was the limiting factor
