Booker memo: May not be in race 'much longer' if he can't raise millions in days
The Democratic presidential candidate's campaign manager warned the NJ senator won't stick around without a viable chance to win.
NEWS: In a memo to staff obtained by NBC News, Cory Booker's campaign manager warns "we do not see a legitimate long-term path forward" unless they can raise $1.7 million by the end of Q3 -- 10 days from now.
Booker campaign manager
argues only FOUR candidates have the money to scale up for the homestretch (presumably Biden, Warren, Sanders, and Buttigieg) and warns the field will winnow much faster than people expect unless something changes.
Unspoken in the memo is the fact that all four are white, while several candidates of color have struggled to break into the top-tier. "Booker might not be in this race for much longer — the same is true for other important voices in the field."
