Shame on ! This is embarrassing. Any book by James Flynn is worth publishing, and a book supporting free speech is doubly so. Ironically, the publishers fears that it would upset people is precisely why modern societies need free speech.
The irony of censoring a book about academic censorship, which they had already scheduled for publication, would be humorous if it wasn't so shameful. Emerald, if lawyers make your editorial decisions, why should I review for you again? () 😐
James Flynn's book defending free speech got pulled by the publisher because (according to the editor) of the "challenging manner" in which it "addresses sensitive topics." If this is how Flynn is treated what chance do the rest of us have?
