US issues strong new warning to Myanmar on Rohingya amid growing concerns
ABC 7 Chicago
In an interview with ABC News, USAID Administrator Mark Green says Myanmar is not on the right path over how it treats Rohingya Muslims.
"I don't know that I have seen a greater level of despair than in the eyes of Rohingya - young parents, near Sittwe in Burma, those who were left behind. I'll never forget this”
#Myanmar: "They have stopped the democratic journey," said USAID head Mark Green. "It is not continuing as long as you have Rohingya and others who are denied their most basic rights, and so we need to be firm in that message all the time, and consistent."
