Ellen DeGeneres, refusing to be shamed for watching football with George W. Bush, said this: "When I say, 'Be kind to one another,' I don't mean only the people that think the same way that you do."
I had a lot of disagreements with the Bush administration but I think it's preferable for people with significant differences to be friendly toward each other and I'm glad Ellen is speaking out about this!
"Just because I don't agree with someone on everything doesn't mean I'm not going to be friends with them," Ellen DeGeneres said. "When I say, 'Be kind to one another,' I don't mean only the people that think the same way that you do."

"When I say, 'Be kind to one another,' I don't mean only the people that think the same way that you do. I mean be kind to everyone. Doesn't matter." Spot on Perhaps that should be motto...
