What's happening with Tether? They have apparently issued another $500M, bringing the total supply to over $5.5 billion, and meanwhile the price seems to be one of the lowest I've seen ($0.96)

As of today, Tether has issued $12 billion worth of tethers. That's literally more than $2 billion worth of USDT in six weeks.
Total liabilities on the Tether transparency page is listed as $9,628,430,402.63. I haven't seen it go over $10 billion yet. Where is Messari getting their numbers?
