Sweden's second-quarter GDP fall was its worst in modern history — but outperformed many in Europe
Sweden's government decided not to impose a full-scale lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Just in case the usual suspects blame Australia’s 7% contraction in economic growth in the June quarter on anti-Covid lockdowns, just keep in mind that GDP in ‘let-it-rip’ Sweden fell by 8.6% in the same period.
