NEW STUDY: The climate crisis is causing ocean heat waves that have led to the deaths of marine creatures like sea lions and have created toxic algae blooms. If we continue business-as-usual, these heat waves will only get worse.

Last year, I went diving in CA to see impacts of marine heat waves. What had once been a magnificent kelp forest, full of life, was a barren desert of rocks and purple sea urchins. Climate change was not a factor in this transformation. It was the cause.
