"There’s a reason no country has a rule that if you sneak in as a minor, you’re a citizen. We’d be inviting the world."
Reminder: If Denham's going to restrict it to those who've "graduated from high school" he's going to be leaving a lot of "Dreamers" out, because you don't have to have graduated from HS to qualify as "Dreamer." That's PR BS.
My line on DREAMers: They're OK-not esp. hi-skilled. But amnestying them creates *huge* perverse incentives--sneak over border w/ your kid, they get to be a citizen! You may get to stay too! Need compensating measures.
'Lo-skill immigration bad; Hi-skill immigration good!' Is that Trump's new position? 1) How does that help DACAns-not a very hi-skilled group? 2) Protecting DACA will attract more parents bringing in LO-skilled migrants illegally
My line on the "Dreamers"
My take on DACA and the DREAMers, as a policy (not legal) issue
