This article is damning. I strongly recommend reading it to the end.
“The Swedish way has yielded little but death and misery. And, this situation has not been honestly portrayed to the Swedish people or to the rest of the world.”
"La respuesta sueca a la pandemia es un desastre. No debería ser un modelo para otros países", advierten Kelly Bjorklund y Andrew Ewing, quien es miembro de la Academia Sueca de Ciencias (@vetenskapsakad) en un artículo en la revista Time 👇
Any post about Sweden triggers the nutters. So I'm loathe to even mention Sweden. I will point out one very important quote: "Only 13% of the elderly residents who died with COVID-19 during the spring received hospital care." Focused protection is a myth.
There are many things to love about Sweden. But not it’s misguided approach to #COVID19 which has attracted well meaning but short sighted “herd-curious” folks. Sweden’s per-cap Covid death rate is 10 times Norway and Finland. 5x Denmark. Stop it please.
This article is a polemic vs Sweden's #COVID-19 policies. Hard to evaluate many claims, but if true, it is important; e.g., it undermines the famous Swedish claim that teachers had the same risk as others for infection time.com/5899432/sweden…. Would love to see full data.
Pretty damning. Sweden's chief virologist Anders Tegnell putting pressure on ECDC not to recommend facemasks, in effect saying the equivalent of "Please don't recommend condoms, because that would imply HIV is sexually transmittable". time.com/5899432/sweden…pic.twitter.com/zCAZWd1OTS
@Fisher_DanaR You probably saw this but I think it is one of the more comprehensive articles on the Swedish response. And I really don't get the mask part (and this article doesn't really clarify to me WHY there is no mask culture).
Tim Martin showed his compassion for people with his attitude towards his own staff at the start of this
No surprise he’s touting Sweden as an exemplar. Or that the libertarian sheeple are getting in line
Maybe they should do their homework? 🤷🏽♂️
