MiniDiscs Helped Me Keep in Touch With My Brother, a World Away
Mailing each other packages of tiny discs filled with music kept us connected.
I wrote about MiniDiscs. Not only was it a near-perfect technology, but it was a great way to keep in touch with distant friends and family before the internet obliterated our senses of space and time
"MiniDiscs...were the last gasp of physical trading culture and a harbinger of the free-market chaos just over the horizon: Napster, CD-Rs, rip-mix-burn"
An ode to....the #Minidisc. A brilliant technology. I still have my collection from the early 2000s and still listen to them.
