Feeling mostly despair these days about a writing project that isn't shaping up as I hoped, it's a nice Sunday surprise to see "Re-Engineering Humanity," the book I wrote with @BrettFrischmann, to be on the Observer list of 30 books to understand 2020.
Very grateful to @anneapplebaum for including The People vs Democracy in her list of books to read to understand 2020.
(The only conspicuous omission from her list is her own book: The Twilight of Democracy, which helped me understand what comes next.)
